Letter Charms – In Collaboration with Helena Vega

This project is the result of a collaboration between typography and craftsmanship, between design and metalwork. The alphabet was developed with a specific purpose in mind: to become wearable. Every letter was designed considering its material, technique, and final use.

The challenge was to think of each character not just as part of a system, but as a unique object: a symbol of identity that goes beyond language. These charms are not just letters; they are people, stories, and personalities. Each one is crafted with just the right amount of detail to retain its clarity and elegance at a –not so– small physical scale.

The design balances classic elegance with a contemporary vision, breathing new life into the centuries-old tradition of wearing one’s initial close to the heart, a nod to the iconic necklace of Anne Boleyn.

All of this was made possible thanks to the hands of Helena Vega, a jeweler based in Buenos Aires whose mastery of her craft brings each piece to life. With precision, dedication, and a deep understanding of both technique and tradition, Helena translates the idea into form, turning letters into lasting objects.
